SLiMS Community Pakistan in Collaboration with Sindh College Library Associations (SCLA) successfully Conducted one day Training Workshop on “Using SLiMS for Automation of College Libraries” on 18th July 2019. at Murad Mamon Degree College, Mamon Goth, Karachi.
Worthy Principal, Muraad Memon degree College was the Chief Guest at the occasion. He appreciated the effort of o SCLA and SliMS Pakistan for the skill development of College Librarians and urged to arrange similar kind of workshop on regular basis at different parts of Sind.
Participants form different Part of cities, Larkana, Hyderabad, Badin and Karachi participated in the workshop Participants were Mr.Manomal Essrani. Mr. Muneer Memon. Mr Haji khan . Mr Zain ul Abdeen Abbasi. Mr Jamshid Gad. mr Abdullah Brohi. Two Librarians from DHA Suffa University defence Karachi, Madam Amana, Madam Serwat, Madam Sabeen, Mr Wajid chandio .Mr Shakel.
Aijaz Akhter Ahmadani Dy. Coordinator (SLIMS Pakistan)/Master Trainer was the resource person. He briefed the participants about SLiMS and its facilities and provided Practical Training on the installation of Portable SLiMS, Data Entry of Books and other documents in SLiMS, Registration of Users, Issue and return and other modules of SLiMS. The Participants prized SLiMS Library Managements as it’s easy to Learn and Implements in the Library. They ware also of the view to convince the Directorate of Sindh Colleges to officially implement SLiMS in Sindh Colleges. The journey of participant to speaker indeed is full of learning, Passion, hard work and dedication.
In the conclusion session certificate were distributed by Worthy Principal, Muraad Memon degree College. On Behalf of SLiMS Community Aijaz Akhter Ahmadani paid vote of thanks to SCLA, volunteers and facilitators and all the participants of the Seminar who have participated from the different Part of Sindh, for their time and making this training successful.
